Technique Used
Double-Ended Tunisian With a Moebius Join (see page 9)
Wrap
Note: Since Wrap is worked in the round, you will need to complete 2 or more “passes” of picking up lps in order to make it all the way around. The instructions state total number of sts for each rnd, but work is completed in sections in order to make it around (see page 9). Pulling up lps is always done with skein A, and closing lps is always done with skein B.
Rnd 1:
A: With skein A and double-ended hook, ch 150, sk first ch, *insert hook in next ch, yo, pull lp through, leaving lp on hook, rep from * across (150 lps on hook);
B: turn hook 180 degrees so back of work is facing, push lps to opposite end of hook, pull skein B through 1 lp on hook, *ch 1, yo, pull through 4 lps on hook (cl made by closing 3 sts), ch 1, [yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] 3 times, rep from * across, until 1 lp rem on hook.
Note: When closing sts in 2 or more “passes,” always remember to leave last 3 or 4 sts on hook to maintain stability of lps.
Rnd 2:
A: Without twisting foundation ch, bring first st close to last st, then twist 1 short end 180 degrees (1 short end is now upside down), place st marker on foundation ch of first st of rnd, working in unused lps of foundation ch, pull up lps around (150 lps on hook);
B: turn hook 180 degrees (so back of work is facing), push lps to opposite end of hook, *ch 1, cl (see Stitch Glossary on page 34), ch 1, [yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] 3 times, rep from * across, until 1 lp rem on hook.
Note: Since this is a moebius join, rem rnds will be worked in a “figure eight” throughout. After rnd 3, it will appear that a total of 4 rnds have been worked. The foundation chain will be in the center of work. A complete rnd will be made when you reach the st marker. Move marker up as work progresses. Or, alternatively, use a separate st marker to mark rnds, leaving first st marker to mark the beg join, for easier counting.
Rnd 3:
A: *3 TSS (see Stitch Glossary on page 31), insert hook in top of closing ch before next cl, yo, pull lp through, insert hook in top of cl, yo, pull lp through, insert hook in closing ch after cl, yo, pull lp through, rep from * around (300 lps on hook);
B: turn hook 180 degrees, push lps to opposite end of hook, *ch 1, cl, ch 1, [yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] 3 times, rep from * across, until 1 lp rem on hook.
Rnds 4–21: Rep rnd 3.
Rnd 22: With skein A, sk first st, sl st as for established st pattern around.
